Anime and manga are easily one of the most entertaining forms of media that I partake in, thus this blog is born. Here I shall talk about any anime I may be currently viewing and the likes and dislikes I have for it. Please do enjoy.

Sorrow... Thy Name is Luffy
The newest episode of One Piece came out over the weekend, and I enjoyed it a great deal. Most of the episode is about Luffy's recovery after the War of the Greatest ends, and time jumps around a little bit from place to place. A lot of chaos has broken out in the world because of the imbalance in power. With White Beard dead many areas are left without a deterrent and are being pillaged by mean spirited pirates. The ending is quite sad in this episode. Luffy wakes up from what seemed like a coma and goes on a rampage looking for his brother, even though he is still in a very poor state of health. Jimbei later forces Luffy to come to the realization that his brother Ace had died. There are then some flash backs of Luffy and Ace together and the episode ends with Luffy in tears. It was quite sad.

After the Spring
Well seeing as how it was spring break last week, I didnt do much other than hang out with people and ski a lot while I was back home. I did watch like two episodes of Black Cat which is a pretty cool anime about a assassin named Black Cat who decides to turn to the peaceful ways of life after a string of events. He is then hunted by the organization that he once worked for as well as by a group of psychopathic people who want him to join their organization. It is an interesting show with a good cast, however its a Shonen show so there is no real gore or violence in it which is a little disappointing since it has so much good potential for it >:]

Website-y Goodness
For the class that I am keeping this blog for, I am required to create a few web pages. The first of which will be about back country skiing, I am excited about its creation and hopes that people will use it as a resource when planning on going for a back country adventure.
Again, the website can be found at:

Finishing off Chrome Shelled Regios
So releases of One Piece are still super slow, I watched the newest one last night, which was cool even though it did not seem like much happened in it. In the mean time I have just been watching the rest of Chrome Shelled Regios which is an average length anime of 24 episodes. The show is kind of weird, and I do not really understand what is going on in it most of the time. Like why are there massive bugs called contaminoids, and why is the world toxic outside of the cities called Regios which move around on their own? Some things in it just make no sense and are not explained at all which is a little annoying to me, but whatever its still a cool show I suppose.

A new show in the off time.
So as I stated last week, the releases of new episodes for One Piece have been slow. Because of this I have started to watch a new show called "Chrome Shelled Regios," Which follows the life of a master swordsman named Layfon who was apparently expelled from his former Regios, which are cities that are atop a moving platform and encased within a protective shell because the environment on the outside is uninhabitable apparently. Its been an interesting show so far, kinda confusing though. I may or may not go back to watching shows like Naruto and Bleach, we will see I guess.

Releases are slow...
I have finally caught up to where the anime is for One Piece, and I must say it is torture waiting a week between every new episode. The episode this week however was pretty awesome because of all of the stuff that went down in it. Black Beard showed up and wreaked havoc, ultimately ending White Beards life, and later stealing his powers that allowed him to create earth quakes. All the while Luffy is unconscious because of the shock that he just witnessed, the shock of his brother Ace dieing by the hands of a marine admiral named Akoinu. With Luffy in hand, the former warlord Jimbei, first son of the sea (a merman with very powerful fishman karate), tries to escape the navy headquarters island, but is again stopped by Akoinu who blasts a hole through Jimbei and part of Luffy's chest. The episode ends with Buggy carrying Jimbei and Luffy by a strang turn of events and a rookie pirate showing up in a submarine to help save Luffy.

The war between White Beard and the Navy Rages!
So, I am almost caught up with where the anime for One Piece currently is so I have started to slow down my pace of watching. The amount of story development and awesomness that has gone down during these past few episodes has been crazy cool, and very sad at the same time because of the devastation that has been brought about by a navy admiral named Akeinu. One of the most famous pirates in the world of One Piece has a big part in this chapter of the story, and the moments where he fights are awe inspiring because of how brutally strong and cool he is.

Impel Down
Over the course of the past week I finished another arc of One Piece that took place in a maximum security underwater prison called Impel Down. After having learned that his brother Ace had been captured and sent to Impel Down, Luffy sought to free Ace before he is executed. Luffy ends up meeting quite a few people from his past in the prison, almost all of which are notorious pirates from past arcs.
Despite being bad guys in the past, all of the people that he encounters are willing to help him in his quest because it would also mean escaping Impel Down which is like a hell to the prisoners in it because of the various forms of torture that occurs. Among the people that Luffy frees is the first villain he fought, Buggy the Clown who is a hilarious pirate that ate the chop-chop fruit and can detach his body parts and float around as a dismembered body as long as his feet are touching the ground. The other people that are rescued are various members of the infamous crime syndicate Barouqe Works that Luffy had defeated a while ago. The members that are freed are Mr.3, Mr. 2 Bon-Clay, Mr. 1, and Mr.0 Crocodile (who is a former warlord of the sea that was dethroned by Luffy and crew).
The group along with the help from some other prisoners they meet along the way are able to make it to the bottom of Impel down where Ace was supposed to be held, however they are too late and then attempt to make their escape to head to the Navy Headquarters in hopes of stopping the execution that is meant to take place in a matter of hours.

Moving on to Shabondy Archipelago
I finished the Thriller Bark arc relatively recently, and I have to say I was quite impressed with it. I really liked the zombie darkness (If you could really call it dark with all the humor in this show lol) that was brought into the series because of it. Luffy (the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, also a rubber man because of his gomu gomu fruit) was able to defeat the main bad guy of Thiller Bark (Gecko Moria who had power over shadows) by infusing himself with the power of a hundred stray shadows and turning into Nightmare Luffy who was a super charged and hulkish version of Luffy who was already very strong. It was a close fight that saw Luffy as the winner who passed out in exhaustion right after winning. Some other very exciting things happened before the crew moved on, but it would take a lot of explaining. For now I will talk about the other crew mates that I have not yet. First off there is Zoro, a hysterically strong swords man who uses the santoryu style (three sword style, one in either hand and one in his mouth), Zoro is by far my favorite character because of his sheer blood lust and badassitude yet despite it he is a buffoon who gets lost almost every ten seconds and tries to give others directions haha. The next character is Sanji a chivalrous super chef who is known as "Black Leg Sanji" because of his immensely powerful kicks that he unleashes on enemies, Sanji is also a notorious chain smoker and is almost always smoking a cigarette. Sanji is funny because of his lack of care for his male counter parts but his utter lust and whipped nature for the female pirates of the crew. Sanji and Zoro always get into fights about silly things adding to the comedy of the show. Robin is the only other female Straw Hat Pirate besides Nami. Robin is a cool headed girl who loves archeology and one day hopes to uncover the details of the missing years in the worlds history. Robin uses a Devil Fruit power that allows her to sprout appendages anywhere, her most common tactic is to sprout arms out of an opponents back and then uses them to grab their neck and arms then bending them backwards and essentially breaking their back. One of the newest members of the crew is Franky a perverted cyborg (dont ask why there are cyborgs in a pirate world because I have no idea haha and also he is considered a perv because he only wears a open button up t-shirt and a speedo with no pants) who runs on cola and is the shipbuilder of the crew. Franky is pretty cool because of his craftiness and the fact that he uses cola in every function of the inventions and attacks that he can use. The newest edition to the crew is Brook, a sword cane wielding skeleton with an afro lol. Brook is a skeleton because of the life life fruit that he ate, the fruit allowed him to have his soul returned to his body after dieing, but because of how long it took him to find his body which had been lost at sea he was a skeleton by the time his soul returned to it. He has an afro still because his roots were very strong apparently lol. And here is a picture of the Straw Hat pirates:

Thriller Bark!
So as of late I have been watching a lot of a shōnen anime called One Piece. In general One Piece has some good action and some incredibly funny jokes and gags in it. The current arc (season basically) that I am in revolves around the Straw Hat crew (this show is about pirates!) being forced into landing on this creepy island called Thriller Bark, which turns out to be a massive ship that is the largest in the world. The island is inhabited by zombies and mutants so you can guess that the main characters all freak out at one point, especially Usopp (the sniper that uses a sling shot and is also a massive liar/coward), Nami (a female thief who is money obsessed), and Chopper (the crews doctor who turns out to be a deer that ate the human human fruit giving him the ability to speak and function like a human deer hybrid). At the point that I am in, the group was split into two groups while being pursued by some funny looking zombies, and in one of the group 3 of the crew mates have been abducted and somehow been turned into odd zombies. I would go into more detail, but it would take up so much space to talk about it, lets just say that it is really funny and if you like anime then it is worth watching.

This is a test!
This blog looks pretty bland with no posts on it yet, so I figured I would go ahead and test this out. I do not really have anything anime related to talk about yet though so this will have to do.
